Abstract:
A device and method for the wavelength-adaptive dehazing of an image are disclosed. The disclosed device for the wavelength-adaptive dehazing of an image comprises: a segmentation unit for generating a level image including a plurality of area classes by using a brightness value histogram of an input image including a fog component so as to segment the input image, wherein the plurality of area classes include a sky area class, a ground area class, and a vertical area class; a transfer map generation unit for generating a transfer map for removing the fog component, by using the input image and the level image; a fog value estimation unit for estimating a fog value corresponding to the fog component by using the input image and the sky area class; and an image restoration unit for generating a restored image by using the transfer map and the fog value so as to remove the fog component.
