Abstract:
An open/close device and a mobile phone device provided with the open/close device. The open/close device can be downsized and can reduce operation force required for unfolding a housing. An open/close device for unfolding a housing comprises a base (43) fixed in a substantially hollow cylinder-shaped rotation body (41), a fixing holder (52) allowed to move only in an internal circumferential direction of the rotation body (41), a drive cam portion (3A) having a fixing cam member (51) and a first compression spring (31), a lift cam member (53) connected to the fixing holder (52), a slide cam member (44) connected to the base (43) and slidable in an axial direction, a retaining cam portion (3B) having a second compression spring (32) elastically provided between the slide cam member (44) and the base (43), a ball (55) for latching a rotation cam member (42), and a clutch portion (3C) having a cam groove (54A) engaged with the ball (55) and having a cam shaft (54) sliding in an axial direction integrally with the slide cam member (44).
