Description:
DEVICE FOR MOVING DELIVERY DOOR OF FRONT DOOR Technical Field The present invention relates to a delivery door that is provided on a variety of front doors especially in apartments, through which a user can receive all kinds of delivery articles like food, goods for a living, and so on, without opening the front door, and more particularly, a device for moving a delivery door of a front door that has been filed by the same applicant as in this invention, which is disclosed in Korean Utility Model Application No. 20-2002-0038338.

Background Art When a visitor (a delivery man) presses the bell on a front door, generally, a resident checks who the visitor is. To help the resident to check who the visitor is, there are a window for a small lens on the front door and a monitor on an indoor interphone in the house.

Through the window and the monitor, the resident can check the identification of the visitor with his or her eyes, thereby previously preventing the crime caused by the unexpected visitor.

Even though the identification of the visitor is checked, however, there occur lots of crimes at the time when delivery articles are received or at the time when the visitor enters in the house. Such the crimes occur especially when a woman or a girl is alone in her house.

The cases of such the crimes don't make people trust each other in the processes of the delivery and receipt of the articles like food, presents, flowers and so on, which gives them many inconveniences and stresses.

In more detail, the orderer does not completely trust the delivery man, even though he or she is sure of the identification of the delivery man, and on the other hand, the doubt the orderer has makes the deliver man feel unpleasant,

which results in giving lots of mental damages to both of the orderer and the delivery man.

Particularly, the probability such the crimes occur becomes high in the house where a woman or girl lives alone. The reason is that the visitor may commit the crime accidentally after noticing his or her surrounding atmosphere.

Generally, the women want to get the delivery articles from the delivery man, while they are not exposed to the outside. So as to reduce the probability of the generation of the crimes and to effectively prevent generating the accidental or planned crimes, therefore, there is a need for a device for receiving the delivery articles after the identification of the delivery man is checked, without opening the front door.

The present inventor has studied such the device, which is disclosed in Korean Utility Model Application No. 20-2002- 0038338. In more detail, there is provided a front door having a delivery door through which a variety of delivery articles are received from the outside placed thereon, without opening the front door (in a state where a delivery man does not enter in the house), thereby basically preventing all kinds of accidental or planned crimes that may be caused by the delivery man or the visitor.

Since the delivery door is fixed in such a manner as to be protruded to the outside of the front door, however, the outer appearance of the front door looks bad, and a user may be injured by the protruded delivery door during the use of the front door. Therefore, there is a need for a device for moving the delivery door to solve the above-mentioned problems and to be more convenient to use.

Disclosure of Invention Accordingly, the present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a device for moving a delivery door of a

front door that moves the delivery door to a ceiling side over the front door when not in use and moves the deliver door to the front door side when in use, thereby removing a space (the volume occupied by the delivery door protruded from the front door) on the front door occupied by the delivery door when not in use, which ensures that the deliver door is more convenient to use before.

To accomplish the above object of the present invention, there is provided a device for moving a delivery door of a front door through which delivery articles are received, without opening the delivery door, the delivery door being protruded to the outside of the front door, comprising: slider blocks provided at the both sides of a housing of the delivery door and guides extended from a prescribed position of the front door at which the delivery door is provided and to the wall side over the front door, the slider blocks of the delivery door being slidably coupled with the guides, whereby the deliver door is moved up and down along the guides.

Best mode for Carrying Out the Invention Now, an explanation of the preferred embodiments of the present invention will be in detail given with reference to attached drawings.

According to the present invention, there is provided a device for moving a delivery door 2 of a front door 1 through which delivery articles are received, without opening the delivery door 2, the delivery door 2 being protruded to the outside of the front door 1. According to the present invention, the deliver door 2 is moved to the ceiling wall side over the front door 1 when not in use and is moved to the front door side when in use. In the above embodiment, the construction of the deliver door 2 is the same as in the above application (Korean Utility Model Application No. 20-2002-0038338).

The deliver door 2 has a housing 4 that is provided with slider blocks 5 and 5'at the both sides thereof, the slider blocks 5 and 5'being slidably coupled with guides 6 and 6'that are extended from a prescribed position of the front door 1 at which the delivery door 2 is provided and to the wall side over the front door 1, such that the deliver door 2 is moved up and down along the guides 6 and 6'.

As shown, the guides 6 and 6'are formed in such a manner that grooves are formed into the front door 1, or guide rods or sliding plates are protruded. To correspond with the guide rods or sliding plates, the slider blocks 5 and 5'are employed with rods or sliding sides.

The slider blocks 5 and 5'of the delivery door 2 and the guides 6 and 6'of the front door 1 are embodied with various kinds of known means, for example, an LM guide.

On the other hand, the guides 6 and 6'are formed to a height ranged from a predetermined position on the front door 1 to a ceiling wall A over a front door frame 18, as shown in FIG. la, such that the deliver door 2 is moved just under the ceiling wall A over the front door 1 or moved to a height at which the delivery door 2 is located between the wall surface over the front door 1 and the top portion of the front door 1.

In the case where the delivery door 2 is located between the wall surface over the front door 1 and the top portion of the front door 1, the front door 1 cannot be arbitrarily opened by the delivery door 2 placed thereon, which provides an antitheft effect. Now, an explanation of the construction of the device for moving the delivery door 2 will be given.

According to the first embodiment of the present invention, as shown in FIGS. la to lc, the delivery door 2 is connected to a drawing rope 9 that is operated in engagement with a driving motor 7 such that it is moved along the guides 6 and 6'of the front door 1.

That is, the delivery door 1 has a connecting bracket 8 formed at the top portion of the rear side thereof, the connecting bracket 8 being connected to the drawing rope 9 that is connected to a winding wheel 10 of the driving motor 7 through guide rollers 11, the driving motor 7 being placed at the inside of the wall surface over the front door 1, such that the drawing rope 9 is wound and unwound as the driving motor 7 operates thus to move the delivery door 2 up and down along the

guides 6 and 6'.

Preferably, a switch (which is not shown in the drawing) for operating the driving motor 7 is placed in the inside of the house and is thus operated when necessary. The driving motor 7 is employed with an electric motor, an oil pressure motor, or a flat motor, and the drawing rope 9 is employed with a chain, a link, or equivalent means, which is of course obvious to those skilled in the art.

The connecting bracket 8 to which the drawing rope 9 is connected is integrally connected to the slider blocks 5 and 5', providing a space 8a in which the front side of the front door 1 is inserted at the rear of the deliver door 2, as shown in FIG. lc, with a result that the delivery door 2 is movable smoothly on the front side of the front door 1.

FIGS. 2a to 2c show the second embodiment of the present invention. The device for moving the delivery door 2 of the front door 1 includes a screw rod 14 that is provided between the upper portion of the front door 1 and the inside of the wall side over the front door 1, the screw rod 14 being engaged with a driving motor 12 in a manner of being coupled with a connecting bracket 15, whereby as the screw rod 14 rotates forwardly and backwardly, the delivery door 2 is moved up and down along the guides 6 and 6'.

Preferably, a switch (which is not shown in the drawing) for operating the driving motor 12 is placed in the inside of the house and is thus operated when necessary. The driving motor 12 is employed with an electric motor, an oil pressure motor, or a flat motor, which is of course obvious to those skilled in the art.

The screw rod 14 and the driving motor 12 are engaged with each other by means of a power transmission gear 13 that is employed with a belt transmission gear, a chain transmission gear, or a transmission gear.

The connecting bracket 15, which is connected to the screw

rod 14, is integrally connected to the slider blocks 5 and 5', providing a space 15a in which the front side of the front door 1 is inserted at the rear of the deliver door 2, as shown in FIG.

2c, with a result that the delivery door 2 is movable smoothly on the front side of the front door 1.

FIG. 3 shows the third embodiment of the present invention.

The device for moving the delivery door 2 of the front door 1 includes an operating cylinder 16 that is provided at the inside of the front door 1 and a piston rod 17 of the operating cylinder 16 that is connected to a connecting bracket 19 at an one side of the delivery door 2, such that as the piston rod 17 of the operating cylinder 16 operates, the delivery door 2 is moved up and down along the guides 6 and 6'.

Of course, the operating cylinder 16 is employed with a pneumatic pressure cylinder or an oil pressure cylinder.

FIGS. 4a and 4b show the fourth embodiment of the present invention, wherein the deliver door 2 is operated manually, without having any operating means.

The delivery door 2 is provided with keepers 20 and 20' that are freely moved relative to an axis pin 20a, at the both sides thereof, and the front door 1 is provided with hooks 21 and 21'to which the keepers 20 and 20'are secured that are positioned at the outside of the wall surface over the front door 1. So, the keepers 20 and 20'are locked and fixed to the hooks 21 and 21'when the delivery door 2 is not in use, and if the delivery door 2 is to be used, they are separated from the hooks 21 and 21'and held by the hands of a user until the delivery door 2 is moved down along the guides 6 and 6'.

FIGS. 5a and 5b show the fifth embodiment of the present invention, wherein a delivery door 22 is folded and unfolded.

When the deliver door 22 is not in use, it can be reduced in size. In this case, the delivery door 22 is formed in such a manner as to be divided into three or four bodies. The upper portion of the delivery door 22 is larger in volume than the

lower portion thereof. Each of the divided bodies 22a to 22c is locked and supported in a downward direction by means of a locking protrusion 23 and a locking part 24 at the top and bottom ends thereof.

Each of the divided bodies 22a to 22c has a support 25 formed at the inside thereof, the support 25 being adapted to make each of the divided bodies 22a to 22c locked and supported in an upward direction.

The lowermost divided body 22c is connected to a drawing rope 91 on a drawing wheel 101 and if the drawing rope 91 is wound by the operation of a driving motor 71, the divided body 22c is moved up and inserted into the divided body 22b. In this manner, the delivery door 22 is reduced in volume.

In other words, the drawing rope 91 is pulled up and the lowermost divided body 22c, the middle divided body 22b and the uppermost divided body 22a are sequentially inserted into their upper body and thus locked to the support 25, such that the delivery door 22 is reduced in size and is kept to be pulled by means of the drawing rope 91 until it moves up along the guides 6 and 6'.

Contrarily, if the drawing rope 91 is unwound, the delivery door 22 that is folded downward starts to move down, so that the divided bodies 22a to 22c are sequentially unfolded downward by their load and thus locked to the locking parts 24 and the locking protrusions 23. Thus, they are completely unfolded.

Therefore, when the delivery door 22 is not in use, it is folded to reduce its volume, and if it is to be used, it is fully unfolded.

In the preferred embodiments of the present invention, as mentioned above, each of the delivery doors 2 and 22 is desirably formed at the outside of an opening/closing door 3 on the front door 1 when in use, and it is configured as shown in the drawing in such a manner as to be opened and closed by means of a flap 2a hinged at the one side thereof. The flap 2a may be

provided at different positions of each of the delivery doors 2 and 22 in a variety of fashions of opening and closing the delivery door.

According to the preferred embodiments of the present invention, the deliver door is moved along the guides 6 and 6' of the front door 1 to the ceiling wall side A over the front door 1 when not in use, and if it is to be used, it is moved to the opening/closing door 3 of the front door 1, thereby removing the inconveniences occurring when the existing deliver door 2 is mounted and used.

In the case where the delivery door 2 is located between the wall surface over the front door 1 and the top portion of the front door 1, the front door 1 cannot be arbitrarily opened, and in this case, the delivery door 2 has an antitheft function as a kind of lock.

On the other hand, if the switch of the present invention is accessed to external communication equipment and a remote signal receiver like a cell phone or a computer, the remote signal receiver operates by the external communication equipment to apply power to the switch if necessary. At this time, the driving motor 71 is driven to make the delivery door 2 opened and closed. The technology related to the remote control is well known, and an explanation of it is avoided herein for the brevity of description. While the present invention has been described with reference to a few specific embodiments, the description is illustrative of the invention and is not to be construed as limiting the invention. Various modifications may occur to those skilled in the art without departing from the true spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.

Industrial applicability As set forth in the foregoing, there is provided a device for moving a delivery door of a front door that moves the

delivery door up to the wall surface over the front door when not in use and moves it down to an opening/closing door at the front door when in use, so as to effectively make use of the deliver door through which a variety of delivery articles are received from the outside, without opening the front door, thereby previously preventing all kinds of accidental or planned crimes occurring at the time of the delivery.
