Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a device for preventing the excessive tightening of a valve, wherein the device has a thread portion having a simple structure and allows the valve to be reliably tightened by a predetermined tightening force even when a user applies excessive torque to a rotary operation member. The device for preventing excessive tightening is provided with: a pedestal part; a first stem which is screwed into a screw hole of the pedestal part; a second stem which is inserted so as to be freely movable in an insertion space of the first stem; a rotary operation member which can be rotatably operated; a compression spring which is sandwiched between the rotary operation member and a head portion of the first stem, and compressed in the opening/closing direction; and a connection pin which connects the head portion of the first stem, the second stem, and the rotary operation member so as to prevent the relative rotations thereof. The head portion of the first stem has an outer diameter greater than the inner diameter of the screw hole of the pedestal part. An elongated hole extending in the opening/closing direction is formed in the head portion, and the connection pin is inserted into the elongated hole, thus allowing the first stem to move relative to the rotary operation member and the second stem in the opening/closing direction.
