Abstract:
This device for preventing falls when walking comprises: a first wire (11e) and a second wire (11f) respectively connected to a right ankle upper belt (6a) and a right ankle lower belt (7a); a third wire (11g) and a fourth wire (11h) respectively connected to a left ankle upper belt (6b) and a left ankle lower belt (7b); an acquisition unit (200) that acquires information about a road surface on which a user is walking; and a control unit (40) that simultaneously controls the tension of the first wire (11e) and the tension of the second wire (11f) and simultaneously controls the tension of the third wire (11g) and the tension of the fourth wire (11h) by employing a first rigidity target value, a second rigidity target value, a third rigidity target value, and a fourth rigidity target value determined on the basis of the information about the road surface. The first rigidity target value, the second rigidity target value, the third rigidity target value, and the fourth rigidity target value respectively correspond to the first wire (11e), the second wire (11f), the third wire (11g), and the fourth wire (11h).
