A device for preventing train derailment, for use in resolving the problem of train derailment. On frames at two sides of the bottom of each carriage, horizontal rollers (1) are provided below automatically controlled lifting support mechanism and horizontal moving support mechanism. When the outer side of an I-shaped steel rail (11) has no obstruction fouling the running lines, the front end of the horizontal roller (1) is engaged and snapped into the upper part of a groove at the outer side of the rail (11) in a seemingly, but not in fact, contact manner so as to prevent derailment. When the outer side of the I-shaped steel rail (11) has an obstruction fouling the running lines, the horizontal roller (1) is in a suspension state after first being moved outwards and then moved upwards so as to avoid the obstacle. A base of a shaft end of the horizontal roller (1) matching the groove at the outer side of the rail (11) is provided with a protruding ring (16) that matches the outer edge of the top of the rail (11). The device for preventing train derailment has the advantages of effectively preventing a train from derailing and rolling over, and avoiding an obstacle without affecting the normal traveling of the train.
