Abstract:
This device for producing metallic Li is provided with: an extraction electrode which extracts metallic lithium; a counter electrode which faces the extraction electrode; and an accommodation part which includes a non-aqueous solvent forming a molecular complex with halogen and accommodates an ion conducting medium which is interposed between the extraction electrode and the counter electrode and conducts lithium ions. In this device, the counter electrode includes a lithium carbonate, the ion conducting medium includes iodine, the lithium carbonate on the counter electrode side is decomposed by applying a voltage between the extraction electrode and the counter electrode, and metallic Li is extracted on the extraction electrode.
