Abstract:
In order that when a tsunami occurs due to an earthquake in the sea and reaches a structure on the coast of the sea and a waterborne structure near the coast, the structures are prevented from being deformed, falling down, drifting, and being damaged by a collision of driftage therewith by tsunami wave force, the present invention is a device for reducing tsunami wave force acting on a building built on the coast of the sea or on the sea, the device being configured such that flow guiding guides are disposed on the upstream side and the downstream side of the building in the direction of a tsunami that is running up due to an earthquake, the flow guiding guides are disposed symmetrically on the upstream side and the downstream side of the building, and the flow guiding guides each have a gap with a predetermined length from the building.
