Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a device for storing valuables capable of reliably preventing unauthorized use and capable of being easily unlocked. A device for storing valuables comprising at least one or more storage boxes for which locking and unlocking is carried out by an electronic lock installed in each door, wherein the device for storing valuables is configured by: a facility side data reading means for reading facility side authorization data by using a facility side authorizing means that is loaned and that is placed in the storage box or in a location separate from the storage box; a biometric authentication reading means installed on the storage box; and a computer that processes and stores biometric authentication data read by the biometric authentication reading means and facility side authorization data read by the facility side data reading means, sends an unlocking signal on the basis of the biometric authentication data and the facility side authorization data and unlocks a door of a storage box locked with an electronic lock, performs reading again by the biometric authentication reading means, and sends, to the electronic lock, a signal that can unlock the door of a locked storage box in which valuables and the facility side authorizing means, if necessary, are accommodated only if the biometric authentication data that has been read again matches with the biometric authentication data at the time the valuables were deposited.
