Patent Claims 1. A device for providing a vessel with energy equipped with a vertical axis wind turbine characterized in that the turbine (5) or assembly of turbines (5) comprising at least one wind column (2) is placed in a chamber (3) below the vessel deck and is installed on sliding guides perpendicular to the vessel deck (1). 2. The vessel having a wind turbine according to claim I, characterized in that the column (2) or columns (2) or two rows of columns (2) are installed favorably near to and along a broadside of the vessel (1). |
The invention pertains to a device for supplying vessel with energy, especially electrical energy.
From patent application No CN 10338855 there is Jf iown a device supplying a vessel with electrical energy, especially during the main power source failure, having a wind turbine together with a generator located in its base. The base is mounted on a vertical pipe and supported by telescopic pillars.
According to the invention a vessel is equipped with at leaSjt one column with vertical axis rotors, placed in a chamber below the deck of the vessel. The columii or the columns are installed in a way that they can slide along axis perpendicular to the deck of vessel. The column or the columns are positioned favorably near to and along the vessel's broadside. \ Each column is mounted on a base. Installed favorably on the outside of the base there are four sleeves mounted on guide rails. The base of the columns is supported from underneath by an actuator.
The device can be used to power vessel's instruments and equipment when at berth or during a failure of the main electrical power source.
A practical example of the invention is shown on figures: 1 vessel's side with partial cutaway view, 2 upper perspective view showing columns arrangement, 3 a device for lifting the column.
Near to and along vessel's broadsides 1 there are wind turbine columns 2 installed, each of which is placed in the chamber 3 and mounted on the base 4. The column comprises at least two turbines 5. The base 4 is provided with four sliding sleeves 6 mounted and sliding on the guide rails 7. From underneath the base is supported by the actuator 8. Rotors of the turbines 5 are coupled with a generator 9 mounted on the base 4.
During a sea voyage the columns 2 are hidden below the deck 10 of the vessel 1, whereas during mooring are lifted up in order to provide energy self-reliance without necessity of supplying energy from port facilities.
