Abstract:
In order to provide a testing device and a testing method whereby a DC circuit breaker can be tested without introducing a high-voltage rectifier, which would increase the size of the testing device, this device for testing a DC circuit breaker (1) for interrupting a DC current is provided with the following: (A) a steady-state-current supply system that supplies a DC current to the DC circuit breaker (1); and (B) a fault-current supply system that supplies, to the DC circuit breaker (1), an AC current that is larger than the DC current supplied by the steady-state-current supply system. (C) The steady-state-current supply system and the fault-current supply system are different systems with respect to the DC circuit breaker (1).
