Abstract:
Aspects presented herein improve the reliability of voice communication between devices by transmitting IMS signaling associated with the voice communication through multiple connections. In one aspect, an apparatus transmits, during a multimedia communication session with a second UE, voice data directly to the second UE. The apparatus transmits IMS signaling directly to the second UE, where the IMS signaling may be associated with the multimedia communication session. The apparatus transmits the IMS signaling to a relay UE for relay to the second UE.
