Abstract:
A device for updating software mounted on a vehicle to update the software by downloading software from outside of the vehicle, wherein the device is provided with a storage means to store the past ON/OFF state of an ACC (accessory); a software update period determination means to determine a software update period in which the software update should be executed, so that the software is updated during the OFF-period of the ACC, on the basis of the information in the storage means; and a software update execution means to execute the software update in the software update period determined by the software update period determination means.
