Abstract:
This device for using engine waste heat is provided with a Rankine cycle containing: a heat exchanger that recovers engine waste heat in a coolant; an expander that generates motive force using the coolant at the exit of the heat exchanger; a condenser that condenses the coolant exiting the expander; and a coolant pump that is driven by the motive force regenerated by the expander and that supplies the coolant from the condenser to the heat exchanger. The device for using engine waste heat is provided with: a refrigeration cycle that shares the condenser and includes an evaporator that guides and evaporates the coolant from the condenser; and an ejector that uses the coolant at the exit of the heat exchanger as a driver gas to draw in the coolant at the exit of the evaporator and return the coolant to the condenser.
