Abstract:
The invention comprises: a driver state estimation unit (103) capable of estimating, using an in-vehicle camera(19) and a biological sensor (20), whether a driver is in an abnormal state that is not a sleeping state; and a driving identification unit (102) for identifying whether a host vehicle is currently performing sleeping-permitted automated driving or sleeping-prohibited automated driving, wherein when the driving identification unit (102) identifies sleeping-prohibited automated driving, the driver state estimation unit (103) estimates whether the driver is in an abnormal state using the in-vehicle camera (19) and the biological sensor (20), and when the driving identification unit (102) identifies sleeping-permitted automated driving, the driver state estimation unit (103) estimates whether the driver is in an abnormal state using only the in-vehicle camera (19) out of the in-vehicle camera (19) and the biological sensor (20).
