Title:
SEGMENTING/COUNTING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/033761
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In order to make it possible to correctly segment a predetermined number of objects to be counted such a pills, a segmenting/counting device is provided with: a hopper (3), which stores the objects to be counted (2) consisting of granules such as pills; a segmentation cylinder (4) which segments the objects to be counted and is connected to the discharge portion (3a) of the hopper; a rotating means (5) for rotating the segmentation cylinder; a counting adaptor (7) which has a cylindrical shape that can be mounted to the discharge-side end part (4d) of the segmentation cylinder so as to have the same center of rotation as the discharge-side end part (4d), has a plurality of grooves (7a) for individually storing the objects to be counted provided in the periphery of the cylinder, and can be rotated together with the segmentation cylinder; and a counting sensor (16) for counting the objects to be counted. Therein, the interior of the counting adaptor is provided with a blade (7b) having gear shaped projections (7ba) which engage with the grooves of the counting adaptor, rotate with the rotation of the counting adaptor, and have the center of rotation secured to a fixed position which is different from the center of the rotation of the segmentation cylinder; and the center of rotation of the blade is secured so that the projections come to a position where the projection is most deeply inserted into an opening (7ea).
