Abstract:
Provided is a DF coater capable of hardly causing density variations and unevenness on the coated surface of a base material without adjusting the thickness of a curtain film.
The DF coater comprises a DF coater head (14) formed long along a width direction of a base material to be coated and having internally a coating material chamber (31) extending in the longitudinal direction, wherein a coating material (2) is supplied into the coating material chamber (31). In the DF coater, the DF coater head (14) has a plurality of supply openings (30) disposed at intervals in the longitudinal direction, connecting from the outside of the DF coater head (14) to the inside of the coating material chamber (31), and supplying, into the coating material chamber (31), a diluting liquid (3) for diluting the concentration of the coating material (2) stored in the coating material chamber (31).
