Abstract:
This invention provides a substrate usable as an electrode. This substrate can solve a problem that a substrate per se is corroded during electrochemical oxidation treatment, or electrolysis cannot be continued due to the separation between a diamond layer and a substrate, or electrolysis efficiency is significantly deteriorated. The substrate is a diamond covered substrate comprising a substrate and a conductive diamond layer covering the substrate, wherein the maximum area of a continuous diamond part constituting the diamond layer is not less than 1 μm2 and not more than 1000 μm2. In particular, preferably, the substrate is porous and has open pores, and the open pore diameter is 0.1 μm to 1000 μm.
