Abstract:
Provided is a diaphragm member for a diaphragm valve with which good chemical resistance against chemical liquid is secured, permeation of corrosive gas generated from chemical liquid is effectively suppressed or prevented, damage occurring due to repetitive operation for a long period of time is effectively suppressed or prevented, and excellent durability is exhibited. A diaphragm 30 used in a diaphragm valve is configured from: a laminate structure of a first layer 32 having a surface on one side to be in contact with a chemical liquid and a second layer 34 disposed on the other side of the first layer not to be in contact with the chemical liquid; and a coupling member that is coupled to a drive mechanism for performing pressing or separating operation against a valve seat of a valve body. The first layer 32 is configured from a thick portion to which the coupling member is fixed and a thin portion positioned on the periphery thereof. The relation between a thickness t1 of the thin portion of the first layer 32 and a thickness t2 of the second layer 34 is configured to satisfy Expression (1).
