Provided are a die-casting method and apparatus with which backflow of molten metal can be effectively prevented when a runner is pressurized by means of a plunger after molten metal injection, thereby enabling additional pressure to be applied to an injected product inside a cavity.　The die-casting apparatus is provided with an injection part comprising: a first pressurization means for injecting molten metal into a die-casting die; a second pressurization means for applying pressure in the runner which is contiguous with the cavity; and an orifice formed in the runner in a surface of the runner that corresponds to a rising runner portion directly connected to the cavity. When a second pressure is applied by the second pressurization means through the runner directly connected to the cavity after injection of the molten metal by the first pressurization means, the pressurization is carried out by the second pressurization means while molten metal backflow is prevented by the orifice in a pressurization channel of the second pressurization means.
