Abstract:
A dielectric ceramic composition which comprises a substance represented by the general formula: 100(Ba1-xCax)mTiO3 + aMnO + bCuO + cROn [wherein coefficients 100, a, b and c represent a mole ratio, R is at least one metal element selected from among Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb and Lu, n is a positive number which depends on the valence number of R and is required for the electric neutrality of the molecule, and a sintering aid, wherein 0.990 ≤ m ≤ 1.050, 0.01 ≤ x ≤ 0.20, 0.5 ≤ a ≤ 3.5, 0.1 ≤ b ≤ 5.0 and 10 ≤ b ≤ 20 are satisfied, and the value(d) of the parts by weight of the above sintering aid relative to 100 parts by weight of the above compound represented by (Ba1-xCax)mTiO3 satisfies 0.8 ≤ d ≤ 5.0; and the dielectric ceramic composition exhibiting a higher electric field for the occurrence of dielectric breakdown, which further comprises VO3/2.
