Title:
DIELECTRIC MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/112486
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a dielectric material in which signs of insulation damage can be detected before or during use, and therefore the insulation damage can be predicted in advance. Such a dielectric material comprises a compound sintered body in which conductive particles are dispersed in an insulating material, the conductive particles including a particle diameter (D10), such that the cumulative volume percentage in the volume particle size distribution is 10% by volume, that is no greater than 0.2 µm, and a particle diameter (D90), such that the cumulative volume percentage in the volume particle size distribution is 90% by volume, that is at least 2 µm, the ratio (D90/D10) of the particle size (D90) having a cumulative volume percentage of 90% by volume to the particle size (D10) having a cumulative volume percentage of 10% by volume being at least 3.0, and the ratio (D90/D50) of the particle size (D90) having a cumulative volume percentage of 90% by volume to the particle size (D50) having a cumulative volume percentage of 50% by volume being at least 1.4.
