Abstract:
A digital camera (10) comprising a CCD imager (12). When an interval shooting or an animation shooting is selected, the object is shot a plurality of times by means of the CCD imager (12) to generate compressed image data every shooting. The compressed image data thus generated is stored in the temporary area of an magnetooptic disc (42). When a desired number of frames are produced by shooting, compressed image data is converted into a dynamic image file and transferred to a normal recording area of the magnetooptic disc (42). Frame rate information is written in the dynamic image file. For playback, the frame rate information is read at first and the compressed image data of each frame is reproduced according to that information. A dynamic image moving at a desired speed is displayed on the monitor (30).
