Plain text information data DATA as data on information to be transmitted to a communication partner is encrypted to generate encrypted information data DATA'. A predetermined rule (such as a polynomial) is applied to the DATA' to generate an error control code CHECK. CHECK is added to the DATA' (DATA' + CHECK) is transmitted. A reception side generates DATA by decrypting the DATA'. The DATA' does not have the information on the predetermined rule. Accordingly, even if an interpreter tries to read the DATA' by the all-number search method (all number attack), it is difficult to interpret the DATA' because there is no reference to judge whether the data generated by the interpretation trial is a plain text, i.e., whether the interpretation is correct. Thus, the encryption intensity of this digital communication method can be said to be high.
