Title:
DIGITAL TRANSMITTER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/057164
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A digital RF signal generation unit of this digital transmitter digitally modulates an I-signal and a Q-signal, thereby converting the I-signal into a first digital RF signal having a bit rate twice as high as a carrier frequency, and the Q-signal into a second digital RF signal having a bit rate twice as high as the carrier frequency. On the basis of a clock signal having a frequency 4n (n is an integer) times as high as the carrier frequency, a retiming unit outputs the first digital RF signal with a delay and outputs the second digital RF signal after having delayed the phase thereof by 90 degrees with respect to the output of the first digital RF signal. A first amplifier amplifies the first digital RF signal output by the retiming unit. A second amplifier amplifies the second digital RF signal output by the retiming unit. A synthesizer generates a single signal sequence by combining the amplified first digital RF signal with the amplified second digital RF signal.
