Abstract:
Dihydrophenazinecarboxylic acid derivatives represented by general formula (I) wherein R?1� represents hydrogen, linear or branched alkyl, etc.; R?2� and R?3� each represents hydrogen, 3-methyl-2-butenyl, etc.; and R?4� and R?5� each represents hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aralkyl, aryl, hydroxy, alkoxy, aryloxy, aralkyloxy, halogeno, nitro, cyano, alkylsulfonyl, arylsulfonyl, alkylcarbonyl, arylcarbonyl, etc., exclusive of the case where both of R?4� and R?5� are hydrogen. The dihydrophenazinecarboxylic acid derivatives are excellent in the inhibition of glutamic acid toxicity.
