Abstract:
[Problem] To achieve a small-scale circuit that suppresses arc discharge when high-voltage direct current is cut off. [Solution] According to the present invention, direct-current voltage is applied between a terminal T1 and a terminal T2, and a load is connected between a terminal 3 and a terminal T4. When a switch SW2 is open, an initializing unit 11A pre-discharges a capacitor C1 and zeroes the charge thereof. When it has been detected that a switch SW1 has begun to open, switch SW2 closes. Then, because the charge of the capacitor C1 has been initialized to zero, the current flowing in a current-limiting reactor L1 flows into the capacitor C1 and charges the capacitor C1. As a result of the current flowing into the capacitor C1, the potential of an electrode A of switch SW1 drops. When the potential of the electrode A has dropped to close to the potential (0 V, for example) of terminal T2 (terminal T4), switch SW1 opens. Because switch SW1 opens when the potential of the electrode A has dropped, there is no arc discharge.
