Abstract:
A direct-current motor 1 according to the present invention comprises a magnet 3 disposed on the inner surface of a yoke 2, an armature 4 disposed on the inner surface of the magnet 3, and a brush 14 in sliding contact with a commutator 9 of the armature 4. The armature 4 is provided with an armature core 8 that is secured to a shaft 5 and has an armature coil 11 wound around it, and the commutator 9 that is secured to the shaft 5. The direct-current motor 1 further comprises a coil spring 15 that applies energizing force to the brush 14, an external power feed terminal 16 that is electrically connected to the brush 14, and a magnetic material 22 disposed on the inside of the coil spring 15. The brush 14, the coil spring 15, the magnetic material 22, and the external power feed terminal 16 are arranged linearly in a direction orthogonal to the axial direction of the shaft 5.
