Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a chute connecting a reduction furnace and a cooling furnace to each other, whereby it becomes possible to feed desired reduced iron, to discharge aggregated reduced iron, refractories detached from the inside of the furnace and components in the furnace without clogging the chute with these materials, to achieve a gas flow rate that cannot inhibit the dropping of the reduced iron, and to eliminate vibrations that may occur in association with the dropping of raw materials in the chute. [Solution] A direct reduced iron manufacturing facility according to the present invention is provided with: a main chute which has a sufficient size that is determined with taking the discharge of aggregated reduced iron, refractories detached from the inside of a furnace and dropping objects such as components in the furnace into consideration and also taking the flow rate of a gas passing through the chute into consideration; and at least one opening port or branching tube which is provided in the main chute.
