A direction controlling wrench tool, comprising a body (1), a braking group (2) and a direction controlling group; one end of the body is provided with a through-hole (11) and a direction controlling hole (12); the braking group (2) is arranged in the through-hole, and comprises a drive disc (21), two gear discs (22, 23) and two springs (24, 25); the drive disc is provided with a first tooth portion (211) and a second tooth portion (212) respectively at two opposite sides; the directions of engagement of a plurality of engagement teeth (213, 214) of the first tooth portion and the second tooth portion are opposite; the two gear discs are respectively engaged with and separate from the corresponding first tooth portion and the second tooth portion; two ends of each spring respectively abut each gear disc and the body; one end of the direction controlling group is located in the direction controlling hole, and the other end is located in the through-hole; and the direction controlling group is switched to enable the gear disc to engage with the first tooth portion and separate from the second tooth portion, or enable the gear disc to engage with the second tooth portion and separate from the first tooth portion so as to change the engaging and idling directions of the drive disc.
