Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a disc brake with which gear squeak of a speed reduction mechanism is suppressed. [Solution] This disc brake comprises: a pinion gear that is fixed to a rotation shaft of an electric motor; and a second speed reduction gear 49 to which rotation of the pinion gear is transmitted. The second speed reduction gear 49 is configured so that the center of gravity thereof is in the radial-direction center, and so that the rigidity in an annular region 38 between the radial-direction center section and an outer peripheral section is nonuniform. Due to this configuration, gear squeak of the speed reduction mechanism can be suppressed.
