Abstract:
A disc device performs positioning of each claw (222C) at a predetermined position by performing positioning of a turntable before starting a disc loading operation. Conveying position of a disc by a conveying means may be shifted significantly from a proper position only in a predetermined direction depending on dimensional precision of components of the disc device or a disc, but, even in such a case, the amount of riding of a disc can be made substantially constant at each chance of holding a disc by performing positioning of each claw (222C) at a proper position according to the direction of shift. Consequently, occurrence of trouble can be minimized when a disc is held by means of three claws (222C).
