Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a disc rotor, said method including: subjecting a disc rotor starting material to a graphite removal process in accordance with a chemical cleaning method based on molten salt immersion, thereby removing graphite from the surface of the starting material; subjecting the starting material to a soft nitriding process and sequentially laminating a compound layer and an oxynitride layer on the surface of the starting material; and subjecting the starting material, on which the compound layer and the oxynitride layer have been formed, to an oxidizing bath process wherein the starting material is immersed for 10-60 minutes in an oxidizing bath containing nitrate salt heated to 300-500°C.
