Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to achieve a discharge processing apparatus which is capable of improving wettability by means of adequate corona discharge by preventing clogging of sheet materials in the discharge processing apparatus even if the sheet materials vary in thickness, quality of materials and base preparation. A discharge processing apparatus according to the present invention is provided with a distance adjustment mechanism 200 which adjusts the distance between an upper electrode 110 that is arranged above a conveyance path 120 for sheet materials and a lower electrode 112 that is arranged below the conveyance path 120. The distance adjustment mechanism 200 is controlled so as to adjust the distance between the upper electrode and the lower electrode on the basis of sheet information related to sheet materials (such as thickness, quality of materials and kind of base printing of each of the sheet materials).
