Abstract:
 The purpose of the present invention is to provide a plant having high disease resistance, and art for imparting high disease resistance to a plant. The present invention provides: a disease-resistant plant in which the expression or activity of at least one protein tyrosine phosphatase gene is suppressed; a production method for a disease-resistant plant, which suppresses the expression of at least one protein tyrosine phosphatase gene; and a disease-resistant plant which is a descendant or clone of a plant produced using said method, and in which the expression or activity of at least one protein tyrosine phosphatase gene is suppressed.
