Abstract:
A dishwasher (10) is provided with a washing tank (2) including an opening portion (2a) for accommodating tableware, and a door (6) disposed in such a way as to be capable of opening and closing the opening portion (2a). The door (6) has a seal portion (11) capable of sealing peripheral edges at the top and bottom and both sides thereof when in a closed state, wherein the seal portion (11) includes, in at least a portion of a side portion or a lower portion thereof, a seal escape location from which overflow water that overflows when the water level rises from a bottom surface of the washing tank (2) can escape. The washing tank (2) is provided with: an overflow port (14) which is provided outside the seal portion (11) of the lower portion (6a) of the door (6), and into which the overflow water flows; and an overflow detecting unit (16) which is disposed outside the seal portion (11) of the lower portion of the door (6), in a position lower than the height of the overflow port (14), to detect an overflow state. There is thus provided a dishwasher (10) with which a retry can be performed if the overflow is temporary.
