Abstract:
The present invention relates to a dishwasher. A dishwasher according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a cabinet which forms the outer appearance; a washing tank disposed inside the cabinet and having an opening through which an object to be washed is introduced; a door which opens and closes the opening and is movably connected to the cabinet; a plurality of sensors which are disposed on the door so as to be spaced apart from each other, each of which detecting a motion of an object at a position spaced apart from the door; a controller which determines whether to open or close the door on the basis of the sequence of signals detected by each of the plurality of sensors; and a driving unit which is electrically connected to the controller and opens and closes the door. By recognizing a motion at a position spaced apart from the door by means of the plurality of sensors, the dishwasher has the advantage of being able to open and close the door according to a non-contact method.
