Abstract:
This disk brake includes a mounting member including supporting portions for movably supporting a pair of brake pads, and a caliper for pressing the brake pads against a disk. The mounting member includes an outer peripheral frame portion, a linking beam portion, and a support main body portion. The outer peripheral frame portion extends in the circumferential direction of the disk in such a way as to straddle the disk and cover the disk. The linking beam portion links the supporting portions together. The support main body portion causes the outer peripheral frame portion and the linking beam portion to serve as parts of an outer frame, and forms the supporting portions. An outer frame constituting portion constitutes the outer frame of the support main body portion, among the outer peripheral frame portion and the linking beam portion. The position of a disk axially outer side end surface in the disk axial direction is the same as the disk axially outer side end surface of the caliper, or is further to the outside, in the disk axial direction, than the disk axially outer side end surface of the caliper.
