Abstract:
Disclosed is a display apparatus wherein desired character information can be obtained efficiently.
A display apparatus (portable terminal) (10) comprises, a display section, a plurality of operating sections arranged contiguously to each other with different characters being assigned, respectively, an operation detection section for detecting the operational state of the plurality of operating sections, and a control section for controlling the display section to display character information about the character which has been assigned to an operating section where an operation is detected by the operation detection section. When a determination is made that a first operating section out of the plurality of operating sections is operated based on the operational state detected at the operation detection section, the control section controls the display section to display character information about the character which has been assigned to the first operating section, specifies a second operating section related to the first operating section based on the operational state thereof, and controls the display section to display character information about the character which has been assigned to the second operating section.
