Abstract:
A CF substrate (21) is provided with: a glass substrate (GS) divided into a display area (AA) and a non-display area (NAA) that surrounds the display area (AA); a color filter (29) provided overlapping the outer surface of the glass substrate (GS) in the display area (AA); a CF-substrate-side oriented film (32) having a film thickness variation part (36) that is provided covering the color filter (29) in at least the display area (AA), a portion of the film thickness variation part (36) gradually varying in thickness so as to become thinner toward the outside; and a film formation control part (37) that is arranged in the non-display area (NAA) adjacently with respect to the display area (AA) and provided overlapping the outer surface of the glass substrate (GS), whereby the formation of the CF-substrate-side oriented film (32) is controlled so that the film thickness variation part (36) is arranged in the non-display area (NAA).
