Abstract:
The present invention is a liquid crystal display device in which white balance is adjusted, wherein the difference between the hue during still image display and the hue during video image display is reduced. A red overshoot LUT (160R), a green overshoot LUT (160G), and a blue overshoot LUT (160B) are provided as tables for storing overshoot parameters in a display control circuit (100) used in a liquid crystal display device in which white balance is adjusted. The overshoot parameters are set for each of the colors red, green, and blue so that the variation over time of the signal is considerably emphasized by corrections made by an overshoot drive circuit (130) in commensurate fashion to the colors having a white balance parameter set so that the maximum value of the voltage applied to the liquid crystal is reduced by corrections made by the white balance processing circuit (120).
