The present invention responds to the dynamic change of sizes of a plurality of divided areas provided on a display screen and more appropriately changes the display of a display item.　A display control device characterized by comprising: a divided area setting unit for dynamically changing the size of a divided area provided on a screen in accordance with an operation from a user; a display control unit for providing an arrangement area in the divided area where at least one or more display items are arranged, as well as responding to the change of the size of the divided area and changing the relative positional relationship of arrangement areas provided in the one and the same divided area; and a priority-setting unit for setting the relative priority of the arrangement areas provided in the one and the same divided area, the display control device being further characterized in that when at least some of the arrangement areas overlap due to the change of the relative positional relationship of the arrangement areas provided in the one and the same area, the display control unit controls the display of the display items in units of the arrangement areas on the basis of the priority set to the arrangement areas.
