A display control device, configured to control a display device to display an image. The display device comprises a display panel and a light valve provided on a display surface side of the display panel; the display control device comprises a timing controller and a light valve controller; the timing controller is configured to control an image refresh frequency η of the display panel to be greater than an image rendering frequency γ, so that the display panel continuously refreshes the image for k times within each image rendering cycle, wherein k is an integer greater than or equal to 2; and the light valve controller is configured to control the light valve to block images displayed previous t times by the display panel within each image rendering cycle, wherein t is an integer greater than 0 and less than k.
