Abstract:
This invention is the display device for vehicle and display method using the same that transmits the broadcasting information of DMB and the Location Information through GPS and that also includes the display providing the screen that is capable of a transparency control, and the described screen above that is flexible material so that is not restricted from any structure of vehicle and to be displayed and to be installed various locations and sizes as the fixtures of vehicle, nevertheless, that gives the effect providing driver with plenty of rooms in vehicle. Also, it is efficient to get BI and PI by either installing the described screen into the scope of driving visual field and it is characterized to control its transparency, and to drive safely implementing its transparency by user's command or the environment change into securing driving visual field and co-rider get the information above with any direction.

Claims

[1] A display apparatus in vehicle, wherein characterized by comprsing: a DMB receiving unit that receives DMB broadcast signal, a GPS receiving unit that receives the positioning information now on, a Multimedia Management unit that manages the save and play of multimedia information, a sensing unit that senses the movement of vehicle and surrounding environment, a user interface that operates the user's input, a display unit that is flexible enough to install contour and providing the capabilities of adjusting its transparency, and a control unit that controls the said display screen transparency a basis of inputting the said sensing unit or the said user interface. wherein said DMB and GPS receiving unit outputs the received information and the saved information in multimedia management unit into the said display screen.

The said display screen is characterized by being at least one more installed in vehicle.

Wherein the Said display screens are plural, it is characterized by displaying appointed information in designated screen a basis for the input if the said user interface.

THE SAME

Technical Field

[1] This invention is about the display apparatus and the method as the same that has the display unit providing a flexible screen and capable of controlling its transparency. Background Art

[2] Hitherto, the way to gain the information from the moving vehicle, watches the ground signal broadcast or the air signal broadcast with the TV receiver of vehicles and listens with the Radio receiver installed in centerfacia panel. Also, those receivers are very restricted to usage because those are designed to pure purpose that receives broadcasting.

[3] Hereafter, it is discovered that Telematics Technology is providing the drivers to the various applied services that are grafted onto the technology of mobile telecommunication and tracking location a basis of the development of information technology.

[4] It is referred that Telematics is a synthetic word from telecommunication and information and the remote information service of vehicle that support the function of mobile telecommunication, internet and navigation based on vehicle.

[5] It has been developed that the devices to track the location information through the navigation system in GPS (Global Positioning System) and watch the TV drama and etc. with DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) by opening of digital broadcasting station and expanding of the function of mobile terminal.

[6] So far, the system of telematics is not provided a separate device but normally with a mobile terminal device so called PDA(Personal Digital Assistant), Cellular Phone and navigation and the demonstrated content is shown the display panel of the said terminal apparatus.

[7] Drawing 1 describes the composition of providing the multimedia information including DMB and GPS.

[8] Refering to Drawing 1, the said apparatus is consist of the DMB receiving unit(51) that receives the DMB signal, the GPS receiving unit(53) that tracking the location information, the Multimedia management unit(55) that save and play the multimedia data, the display unit including panel(56) that output the equivalent content by controlling Multimedia Management unit and the receiving units of the said DMB and GPS, the user interface(54) handles user's input.

and Cellular Phone. [10] The said information of the receiving unit of DMB and GPS(51 ,53) and the management unit of Multimedia(55) properly operates through the said control unit(52) and demonstrates in display panel in accordance of each terminal device in the display unit(56). [11] But, the ordinary terminal device the said above, being used, it is restricted the display function of the mobile phone terminal device to play Multimedia information and demonstrate the receiving information of DMB and GPS. [12] In addition to, the said terminal devices are attached to the dash board and instrument panel and installed Centerfascia panel of the ordinary vehicle. In according to, there are the problem to get enough visual field for driving because of rear mirror and steering wheel and it is an evitable to convert the driver's view to see the demonstrated contents of the said terminal device. [13] Drawing 2 describes the location of the said terminal device. In referring to the said drawing 2, the said terminal devices (10,20)are installed in interior and provide various multimedia information. It is normal to install those to a dash board, instrument panel and Centerfascia panel.

[14] It is desirable to install the said terminal device not to give the drivers an obstruction of view field by seeing the needed information. [15] But, it is roomy to install preferring Drawing Code 20) in Centerfascia panel, it is dangerous because of being deviate from driver's view field and changing dreiver's view to see the panel. [16] Also, it is facile to install it in instrument panel (referring drawing code 10), it is a problem to look because of shrinking the driver's view from the steering wheel(30), rear mirror(40) and in addition to the said terminal device. [17] Recently, telematics System is the part of the vehicle and evolutes as of today, by being developed the mobile telecommunication technology. [18] But, as observing above, if telematics System is embodied to ordinary portable terminal device, the display panel to demonstrate versatile information is restricted in according to it, because there is the problem to shrink driver's view and hinder safe drive, that it is necessary to develop an efficient display method to solve them as of today.

Disclosure of Invention

Technical Problem [19] Accordingly, the aim of this invention is providing display device and method for vehicle that demonstrates the receiving information of DMB and GPS and the multimedia information efficiently.

[20] In concrete, this invention provides the display device using the display method that is a magnicent screen, not obstructing driver's sight and attaining various information with facile through being capable of installing it any desirable place including forefront car window and emboding the display device not hindering driver's view and adjusting transparency and/or flexible. Technical Solution

[21] This invention which achieves the said purpose, wherein the display apparatus for vehicle, DMB receiving unit that receives the DMB signal, the GPS receiving unit that tracking the location information, the Multimedia management unit that save and play the multimedia data, the sensing unit that operates the vehicle and senses the surrounding environment, the user interface that works by user's input, the display unit that is provided demonstrating screen that is being capable of installing contour, and is adjusting transparency and/or flexible, the control unit that outputs the said display screen by receiving information through the said DMB and GPS receiving unit and producing the demonstrating screen based on the saved information in multimedia management unit, and that adjusting transparency of the said demonstrating screen depending on the said sensing unit or the input of the said user interface.

[22] At this time, the said display screen is characterized by displaying the said each information into the said multiple display screens simultaneous when the said display screens are multiple or displaying different one at least. Also, the said user interface is characterized by being touch screen that is prepared in the said demonstrating screen.

[23] Also, being characterized in flat display device, the said display unit can be a

Liquid Crystal Display, Organic Electro Luminescence Display and Plasma Display Panel.

[24] At this time, if the said display unit is a liquid crystal, there is including the subsidiary lighting more that casts the light into the said the liquid crystal display device.

[25] Also, the said sensing unit includes the the first sensor that senses the external light and the said control unit adjusts the brightness of the said subsidiary light based on the sensing result of first sensor.

[26] Beside, the said display unit is characterized by being consist of the miracle glass that displays the said demonstrating screen and the projector that projects the said display contents toward the miracle glass.

[27] At this time, the said projector is installed in the ceiling of the vehichle and projects where the miracle glass is placed.

[28] The said sensing unit includes the 2nd sensor that senses the movement of the said vehicle and is characterized the sensing the abrupt starting engine, the abrupt braking,

and the angle of steering wheel's turn.

[29] Also, the said sensing unit is characterized by including the 3rd sensor that senses the surrounding environment and sensing the obstacle and rear objects when it drove backward installed any side in interior or exterior of the vehicle.

[30] Besides, the said sensing unit is characterized by including the 4th sensor that sensing the information of vehicle installed the parts of it and display the information of vehicle with the said demonstrating screen.

[31] Furthermore, the said sensing unit includes the servile camera and the said control unit outputs the image of servile camera the said display screen.

[32] Also, the said control unit adjusts precision of sensing in the said sensing unit depending on the input of the said user interface.

[33] Besides, the various information can be received via internet through the mobile telecommunication terminal such as, mobile phone, PDA(Personal Digital Assitants), notebook and etc. by having the port that connects the external wireless telecommunication module.

[34] Being after downloading the map and mapping the said display unit to be easily perceived the received information by the said GPS receiving unit, and remote diagnosis service for vehicle and when accident occurs, proper regulation can be compromised by sending the information of vehicle condition consistently.

[35] Also, the said vehicle display device can be arranged the additional display screen including the said display screen by having the multiple output port and obtained the information by installing it wherever fits well in vehicle.

[36] For example, Co-rider in back seat can see the additional display screen installed in console box between the driver seat and assistant seat in front so that each user in vehicle benefits full of it.

[37] Furthermore, if the demonstration screens that are constituted of the said display unit have installed the various places, then the said control unit outputs the information that acquired each receiving unit or play management unit, simultaneously one or multiple demonstration screen depending on the wanted places inputting through user's interface.

[38] By doing this, the riders in the vehicle can acquire the needed information for their own.

[39] The display method to achieve the purpose of this invention, having the display method using display apparatus for vehicle that has the said demonstration screen adjusting transparency, it is characterized by including the step that displays at least one or more multimedia information, DMB receiving information and GPS receiving information and the step that ceases the output of information and the said display screen become transparent.

[40] At this time, when in the step that displays the said demonstration screens, if the said demonstration screens are plural, then the step can be included by display information differently at least one or more and display same information.

[41] Also, it can be including the step that the said display screen is illuminated by subsidiary light.

Advantageous Effects

[42] According to the present invention, the display apparatus of vehicle of this invention provides the DMB broadcasting information, position information of GPS and various multimedia information, includes the display unit that is flexible and makes the vehicle roomy without any restriction of vehicle interior and it is installed to various places and sizes.

[43] Also, the demonstration screen of the said display unit is characterized by adjusting it's transparency that is allowing to acquire the said information efficiently by installing the driver's view sight and has the effect to be guaranteed safe dive by no hindering of driver's view from changing the said display screen to transparent.

[44] Besides, as the said display unit is consist of the miracle glass and projector, it is efficient to provide convenience to driver and co-rider by projecting to their wanted field selectively and acquiring the said information from their wanted direction. Brief Description of the Drawings

[60] First of all, DMB receiving unit and GPS receiving unit can be consist of the general technical contents, and those are including the antenna to receive the corresponding signal.

[61] Through the said antenna, DMB receiving unit(310) outputs broadcasting information that is the transferred channel by restoring the signal of DMB broadcasting service in each channel and GPS receiving unit(330) outputs the present position information by receiving the present altitude and longitude data from the mobile telecommunication station.

[62] The received information from DMB receiving unit(310) is characterized by being capable of choosing channel through the user's input from the said user interface(340).

[63] Also, the multimedia management unit(350) is including ROM(Read Only

Memory), RAM(Random Access Memory) and saving storage like Hard Disc and etc. to save each multimedia information, and the said saving storage device can include the said the channel and broadcasting information of DMB receiving unit(310) and the DB(Database) of GPS receiving unit(330).

[64] Also, it can be saved the acquired multimedia information from the said external storages with USB port the connection of them.

[65] Also, The user interface(340) can be composite the pleural button or dial to output by user's inputting and the touch screen sensor that is included in the display unit(360) as needed.

[66] Accordingly, the DMB receipt information, GPS receipt information or multimedia information can be displayed in the said display unit(360)with managing by the said control unit(320) depending on the information of user's input from the user

interface(340). [67] Furthermore, the said user interface(340) establishes the operation that is proper in user him/herself through the sensitivity control of the said sensing unit for user's convenience. [68] Also, the said display unit(360) is the portion that displays DMB receipt unit, GPS receipt unit and multimedia information to users and especially the display unit of display apparatus for this invention is characterized by adjusting transparency and being flexible to install to the contour so that can be fulfilled with using Flat Panel

Display like LCD, Organic Electro Luminescence Display Panel or Plasma Display or miracle glass with projector.

[70] Also, as control unit(320) operates the working of the said display unit based on the said interface(340) or the said sensing unit(370),output to the display unit(360) by control the signal from the information of the said DMB receipt unit, GPS receipt unit and Multimedia management unit, and controls whole activities of the said display device for vehicle, that the logic calculation device like the Micom that has a certain internal algorism, can be used. [71] Furthermore, the said control unit(320) can adjust the sensing sensitivity of the said sensing unit(370) depending on the input from the said user interface(340). [72] So to speak, users can display by controlling the said control unit(320) that operates the display unit(360) to display and by adjusting the sensing sensitivity of the said sensing unit(370) appropriately with their own tasty. [73] At last, the sensing unit(370) is the part of the control unit(320) that transfers the sensing result of the operation of vehicle and sensing the surrounding environment. [74] To accomplish those, the sensing unit(370) is including the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th sensor(372, 374, 376, 378) that charges each different role. [75] The said 1st sensor (372) is the flat panel display device(360), and is especially allocates the PhotoDiode to sensing the external light if it is LCD. [76] The said 1st sensor transfers the sensing information to the said control unit(320) by detecting the external light and determines On/OFF of the subsidiary light that is the rear light installed the said display unit(360) is allowed to make clear if the said control unit(320) is the said LCD based on those. [77] Also, so the 2nd sensor(374) is the part of sensing operation vehicle, it can sense the speed of vehicle and the angle of turn of steering wheel. 2nd sensor(374).

[79] Also, as the 3rd sensor(376) is the part of sensing the surrounding environment of vehicle, for example, the corresponding sensing information is transferred to the said sensing unit(370) detecting obstacle and sensing the rear objects when you drive, the said control unit(320) adjusts the transparency of the demonstration screen that is consist of the said display unit(360) depending on the sensing information from the said sensing unit(370).

[80] At this time, if necessary, the 3rd sensor(376) can include the camera and transferring the image information by capturing from camera to the said control unit(320), and it(320) is being capable of displaying the image of servile camera into the display unit(360).

[81] Also, as the 4th sensor(378) is the sensing part of vehicle information, it transferred transferred to the control unit(320) the necessities of vehicle information for example, the speed, amount of fuel, engine oil, distant of driving and etc. from the device attached in engine, fuel tank or wheel.

[82] Depending on those, the said control unt(320) can display the said information into the display unit(360).

[83] The following, as the most characteristic part of display apparatus of vehicle, the concrete content of display unit(360) can observe with drawing 3.

[84] Previously, as the display unit(360) can be consist of a flat panel display device or miracle glass and projector, the flat panel display device is illustrated in drawing 4 or drawing 6.

[85] Drawing 4 describes the state of the said display apparatus installed at vehicle.

[86] Referring the said drawing 4, the flat panel display device(361) that is consist of the said display unit is installed the whole or any potion of window(l 10) and is adjusting the transparency on the ground of input of the said sensing unit(370) and/or the said user interface(340).

[87] Explaining the said contents in detail, the said flat panel display device(361) can be installed the forefront window that located a front from dreiver's steering wheel to look user's information easy, so to speak, positioned the driving view sight.

[88] Also, when displayed, if there is content, then it is keeping semi-transparency, if there is no content to display, then it is keeping transparency to conform the object partly in outside, other then it is transparent to minimize the loss of the driver's view sight from it.

[89] Also, if the obstacle like pedestrian(200) appears, then the 3rd sensor(376) is transferring the created sensing information in correspondent into the control unit(320) and stops the display operation of the said flat panel display device in the virtue of it and changes the flat panel display device(361) included in the said display unit(360).

[90] Beside, user orders and inputs through the user interface(340) that is consist of cor-

responding device and on the ground of it, the said control unit(320) determines whether it is outputted of not and adjusts the transparent state of the said flat panel display device(361).

[91] Also, if the said flat panel display divice(361) is consist of LCD(Liquid Crystal

Display), then the said display unit(360) includes the subsidiary light to output the content of the said plat panel display device clearly.

[92] Because the said LCD has a problem to sense the demonstration content if there is not enough external light, so the vividness has to acquire for the said subsidiary light(120).

[93] Also, the said control unit(320) is capable of on/off the said subsidiary light(120) through sensing information of sensing unit(370) by the change of external intensity of radiation.

[94] Observing the detailed operation of the said subsidiary light(120), the said control unit(320) have the said subsidiary unit off if there is enough the external intensity of radiation on the ground of the sensing information of the said 1st sensor(372).

[95] Also, when the said 3rd sensor(376) senses the obstacle like an pedestrian(200), transfers the sensing information to the said control unit(320), and the said control unit(320) acquires the driver's view by having the flat panel play device off and the whole window transparent if subsidiary light(120) is on,.

[96] In addition to, the said subsidiary light(120) can be on/off by the said control unit(320) on the ground of the user interface(340)'s inputting information.
