Abstract:
A display device (10) and a control method therefor, relating to the technical field of display. In a rolling or unrolling process of a slidable region (101a1) of a flexible display panel (101) of the display device (10), each detection circuit (103) can detect external ambient light in real time, and when the external ambient light is detected, a detection current is transmitted to a detection signal line (106) on the basis of an input signal provided by an input signal line (104). Therefore, a driving integrated circuit (102) can detect, from the detection signal line (106), the magnitude of the detection current transmitted by the detection circuit (103), and then determine the length of an active display region in the flexible display panel (101) in a first direction (X) on the basis of a correspondence between a current range and the length of the active display region in the first direction (X). The driving integrated circuit (102) controls, on the basis of the length of the active display region in the first direction (X), the active display region to display an image, and has high flexibility.
