Abstract:
[Problem] To realize low-power-consumption foveated rendering. [Solution] This display device comprises a plurality of pixels, a first signal wire, a first circuit, a second signal wire, a second circuit, a third signal wire, a third circuit, and a switch. The plurality of pixels are arranged in line and column two-dimensional array form. The first signal wire extends along the direction of the line and connects to the plurality of pixels that belong to the line. The first circuit connects to the first signal wire. The second signal wire extends along the direction of the column and connects to the plurality of pixels that belong to the column. The second circuit connects to the second signal wire. The third signal wire extends along the direction of the column and connects to the plurality of pixels that belong to a column that adjoins the column to which the second signal wire connects. The third circuit selectively connects to the third signal wire. The switch switches the connection of either the second signal wire or the third circuit with the third signal wire.
