Abstract:
This display device comprises a display panel and a lighting device. The lighting device includes a light source, a light-guiding panel having an emission surface from which light from the light source is emitted toward the display panel, and a first optical member having a prism array facing the emission surface of the light-guiding panel. The prism array includes a plurality of prisms that, when viewed in the normal direction of the display panel, are arranged in a row in a first direction orthogonal to the normal direction. Each prism has an angle such that a first angle formed by the display panel and the light-guiding panel is smaller than a second angle formed by light traveling to an eye box and the normal direction of the display panel when viewed in a second direction orthogonal to the normal direction and the first direction.
