Abstract:
A display device according to an embodiment may comprise a signal receiving unit for receiving a control signal from a remote controller. The display device may comprise a controlling unit for controlling the signal receiving unit on the basis of the control signal. The controlling unit may control the signal receiving unit on the basis of a first state in which the signal receiving unit is activated according to a period equal to or less than the length of the control signal. The controlling unit may control the signal receiving unit on the basis of a second state in which the signal receiving unit is activated during a time interval exceeding the length. The controlling unit may control the display device on the basis of the control signal identified by the signal receiving unit.
