Abstract:
Various embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a display device and a control method therefor, the display device having first and second switching circuits added at both ends of an IR LED for providing an integrated remote control function, wherein the first switching circuit is connected to a gain circuit and a filter circuit so as to detect, from an external device remote control, an IR signal having a predetermined frequency band and control the power state of the display device. To this end, the display device may comprise: an IR receiver for receiving a first IR signal from a first remote control; an IR LED for transmitting, to an external device, a second IR signal generated on the basis of the first IR signal, or receiving a third IR signal from a second remote control; first and second switching circuits, each being connected to one of both ends of the IR LED; a gain circuit and a filter circuit sequentially connected to the first switching circuit; and a process for setting a switching path so as to transmit the second IR signal or detect the third IR signal.
