Abstract:
Provided is an organic EL display device (50a) being provided with: a base substrate (10); an organic EL element (8) that is provided to the base substrate (10) and that has a plurality of organic EL layers (20) arrayed in a matrix; and a sealing film (22a) that is provided on the organic EL element (8), wherein a plurality of sub-pixels are defined corresponding to the organic EL layers (20). The sealing film (22a) has a groove line (C) that is formed so as to pass through the sub-pixels, and a foreign material abutment part (22ar) that is formed so as to abut against any foreign material (R) present on the organic EL element (8).
